ACANS-ANSTO 2020: Archaeology, Archaeometry and Cultural, 14-15 September 2020, Macquarie University

The conference Interdisciplinary Intersections. ACANS-ANSTO 2020: Archaeology, Archaeometry and Cultural Heritage will be held on 14 and 15 September 2020 at the Arts Precinct, Macquarie University. The overarching theme is the expanding and integral collaboration between the humanities and science in the fields of archaeology and cultural heritage. The aim is to explore the design of collaborative research projects which negotiate humanities/science boundaries and which propose interdisciplinary interfaces. The conference is openly interdisciplinary. We invite papers in particular from researchers active in the field of archaeological science (or archaeometry) broadly defined as the application in archaeology and cultural heritage studies of techniques and concepts drawn from the natural sciences.  In this conference we are placing particular emphasis on the research of post-graduate and early career researchers. We strongly encourage them to offer papers, to participate and to apply for support to attend all events.
