You can be of any professional or educational background – we encourage people from a wide range of disciplines to apply. Note that if accepted, you will need to register formally and pay the associated registration fee. This registration fee is separate from the main General Assembly registration. The fee will cover accommodation on Cockatoo Island / Wareamah and all meals during the Youth Forum.

You will need to complete a short application form to be considered for the Youth Forum.  Please have the following prepared:

You will also be asked to rank in order of preference your preferred Youth Forum themes; Stain, Grain, and Re-Frame. Please look through the theme descriptions on the Youth Forum Program page.

We will be selecting a diverse range of delegates, aiming to include balanced gender and regional representation.  Please note that preference will also be given to delegates attending the General Assembly as well.

The working language of the Youth Forum is English. A good knowledge of English is essential, for the benefit of the individual participants and effective communication during the Youth Forum.
